What You’ll Do
Thorough knowledge of Cognos administration and architecture, report-writing, BI system configuration, and upgrading, BI solutions designing, Cognos testing and troubleshooting, system modification and performance improvement
Clear understanding of framework models and transformer cubes, SQL, Cognos dashboards and database designs, data warehousing and ETL, Cognos event studio, report studio, query studio, analysis studio and Cognos Connection
Proficiency in using Cognos BI 10 and 11, IBM Cognos BI server, IBM Cognos, Transformer and 10.X Framework Manager, IBM Cognos Analytics, BI 10.2.2 documentation, Cognos cube designer and SDK 10.2.2
Experience with Linux and Windows OS, Unix shell scripts, Apache Web Servers, OLAP tools, MS SQL Server and Oracle 10g, MS Office Suite
Ability to analyze user or business requirements and develop effective Cognos strategies or BI solutions
Effective communication and interpersonal skills along with the ability to provide support to technical teams and business users
Excellent analytical skills and the ability to solve complex Cognos BI system and reporting issues
Solid leadership skills and the ability to work both independently and in a cross-functional team
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills as well as the ability to cope with fast-paced and challenging work environment
