What You’ll Do
Experience with BMC Atrium, BMC AR System, and BMC Remedy ITSM 7.6 or a similar Industry Solution.
Familiar with any of the following: discovery products including Microsoft SCCM, BMC Software Asset Management; reconciliation of discovery data in BMC CMDB environment; and integration of discovery solutions with CMDB or a similar industry solution. Experience with BMC Discovery customizations i.e. patterns, application mapping and etc
Knowledge of MS SQL, query-writing, reporting tools (ie: Crystal Reports, BIRT, or a similar industry solution) relational databases.
Setup and Generate data reports in BMC Discovery
Produce and execute a plan for implementing the Configuration Management processes using BMC Atrium CMDB.
Recommend robust configuration management procedures and standards for using BMC Atrium/CMDB.
Ensure ITSM and CMDB alignment with ITIL v3 framework.
Act as a key stakeholder supporting key CMDB tasks:
Works with the Asset Management and Service Delivery Teams to input a configuration management plan and Operations Manual Chapter.
Communicate CMDB activities to enhance general awareness of processes and standards.
Liaise and work with external partners and third party suppliers whenever necessary.
Provide Training to Junior Database Analysts as required
Analyze, strategize, coordinate and implement any enhancements on BMC Discovery and BMC Remedy (CMDB) based on TNB requirements or expectations.
To provide customized Standard of Procedure (SOP) of BMC Discovery and CMDB to meet TNB requirements or expectations based on experience/other companies.
Ability to advice any discovery/scan issues for various types of infrastructure (Unix, Windows, Appliance) i.e. an IP was failed to be discovered Ensure security and controls standards are met and followed
Excellent communication skills in working with technical and non-technical staff and the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships among all levels of an organization and with customers.
